Second Feature Team: Start screen




Second feature team consist of a programer, a designer and an animator, witch was me. our job was to create a start screen for when the game started. I made the visuals, which consists of the background and separate buttons that are interactable, except the title screen, by the programer. my first attempt, what you see above, did not have the right font and it was hard to read. So I made the changes in no time.

After finishing my level playtesting it out in vassal, which is a great program but hard to use if you don't fully understand the game, I asked the my team to take a look at them. from the feedback I ve got was telling me to do more research and understand the game. A lot of things in my scenarios did not make sense as far as the other rules the was in the rule book. So what I did was go back at different battle reports on youtube as well as watch tutorials on how to play Warhammer and read the rule book. what I learn from the videos is that i do well at understanding things better by someone showing me how to do something rather then reading a book.

Spring Break Game Jam

A game jam is a gathering of game developers for the purpose of planning, designing, and creating one or more games within a short span of time, usually ranging between 24 and 72 hours. Game developers are generally made up of programmers, game designers, artists, and others in game development-related fields. So spring is here and some of the guys the wanted to work on the game before we show it off at midwest gaming classic. Our main concern was getting the player models and animations working and the build. one of the good things about this game jam was not taking an hour with ceremony like standups which usually happens every class time. another good thing was the use of technology for communication even though most the team did not attend this jam I was able to communicate with them real time with Google Hangouts. using the screen share component of Hangouts I was able to see what my peers was working on and vice versa.getting that real time feedback from your peers even if ther
